Yari started his career in the late 70s. It was the era of punk rock back then and Yari was part of that movement. He has also a strong background in classical music: he has studied music theory and played cello in a symphony orchestra. Yari has published 10 albums, 5 of them with a band called Se. Since '87 Yari has composed music to 52 films. Latest Yari album is a solo album called 12 askelta ('99).
